Product Overview
The Cisco FET-10G (Fabric Extender Transceiver) is a 10G SFP+ optical transceiver module designed specifically for use within Cisco Nexus and UCS platforms to connect fabric extenders (FEX) to parent switches. Unlike standard 10G SR optics, the FET-10G uses OM3/OM4 multimode fiber and offers a cost-effective, short-reach solution for intra-rack or inter-rack connectivity up to 100 meters.
Note: The FET-10G operates only on supported Cisco devices and is not interoperable with standard 10G SR optics.
